The available 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine can be configured with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. This engine puts you in control of 172 horsepower and 165 pound-feet with the choice of a 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, or CVT featuring a crawl mode. The Compass can deliver up to 25 mpg combined*.
Depending on the Compass trim level you choose, you can get features to help it go off-road via the Freedom Drive II Off-Road Group. Adding this gives you all-terrain tires, 17-inch wheels, low-range gearing in your upgraded all-wheel drive system, brake-lock differential, skid plates, a heavy-duty alternator, a full-size spare, and engine oil cooler.
