The RAM is a highly capable pickup truck that can easily tackle the outdoors, including off-roading. This is particularly true if you opt 4-wheel drive and other similar features. However, just because your pickup can handle tough terrain doesn’t mean that it is automatically ready to go. You will want to inspect your RAM to make sure everything is in working order. Then, gather the following items so you are prepared for anything that happens while exploring the unknown.
First Aid Kit
Anytime you go off-road or take your RAM into an area you haven’t explored before, make sure you have a first aid kit with you. In fact, this should actually stay in your RAM all the time in case you have an accident while driving anywhere or come across a recent collision. A basic first aid kit with gauze, bandages, disinfectant, and other similar items should be enough. However, you can also get one with more supplies.
A Shovel
Shovels are an important tool when exploring unknown areas since you never know when you will find an obstacle in front of your RAM. If you get stuck in mud or a great deal of dirt, the shovel can help dig your pickup out. You can even use a sturdy shovel as a lever to help get trees and branches out of your RAM’s path.
Water and Food
It should be obvious, but anytime you are heading into an unknown area or even just hitting a friendly Alabama trail, you want food and water with you. Make sure you have enough to last at least a day, if not more. This way, if something unforeseen happens, you won’t have to figure out what to do while dehydrated and hungry.
Toolkit
When you take your RAM into the unknown, you are unlikely to be able to call a tow truck if something happens to your vehicle. This means that you will need to have all the supplies required to take care of it by yourself, at least temporarily. Grab a basic toolkit with wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, and more. Don’t underestimate the usefulness of hammers, sturdy tape, and wire, either.
Before you take your RAM into the unknown, make sure it is ready for adventure. The service center at Chris Myers CJDR in Daphne, Alabama, can inspect your pickup to confirm it is in good shape before you hit the trail.
