The maker of Dodge, FCA North America (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), has announced that with the 25th Anniversary Edition of the iconic Dodge Viper, it will cease production of this track-winning muscle car. Known as the fastest production street-legal car ever, it has set the benchmark for all track cars that will follow in its tire tracks. Having set world speed records for 25 years, the last Vipers made will show the world how to go out in style.
There will be six models, with one of them only being available at the two dealerships in the U.S. who have set the record for selling the most Vipers over the years. They are Tomball Dodge in Tomball, Texas, and Roanoke Dodge in the Midwest in Roanoke, Illinois.
1:28 Edition American Club Racer (ACR)
Champion racecar driver Randy Pobst set a record at Monterey, California’s Laguna Seca Raceway in October 2015 in a Dodge Viper. The single lap record stands at 1:28.65. This Viper special edition pays tribute to that record. It comes in a black exterior with a red ACR stripe and features a serialized instrument panel 1:28 Edition badge. Each owner will have his or her name placed above the driver’s door. A limited edition of not more than 28 cars will ensure this Viper’s place in automotive history.
ACR VoooDoo II Viper Edition
The first VoooDoo made its appearance in 2010, and the final version will be modeled after it. A red-outlined graphite metallic ACR stripe tops a black exterior decorated with VoooDoo II exterior sill decals. You’ll get your name placed above the driver’s door and a matching car cover. The VoooDoo II also features a VoooDoo II badge serialized instrument panel. There were 31 VoooDoos produced in 2010, and the final production number will not exceed 31 cars.
ACR GTS-R Commemorative Viper Edition
The highest number of any of the Viper’s limited-edition final production cars will be the GTS-R. Dodge plans to produce up to 100 of this special edition that will come in the blue pearl stripe over pearl white paint job. In addition to the GTS-R badge serialized instrument panel, it will sport exterior GTS-R sill decals, USA flag decals, and a red Stryker badge decal. Purchasers will have their names above the driver’s door.
Snakeskin Viper Edition GTC
Only 25 Snakeskin Green Vipers will be produced in this final year. Topped with the snakeskin-patterned SRT stripe, it will have a black interior and will feature an Advanced Aerodynamics Package. The serialized instrument panel Snakeskin badge, a matching car cover, and your name above the driver’s door will personalize your Viper.
The “1 of 1” Viper Edition
Dodge is making it possible for you to completely customize your Viper so that it will be unlike any other in the world. It will be unique to you because you’ll have 50 million ways to personalize your Special Edition Viper. You’ll have 16 million exterior colors to choose from, along with 24 million stripe colors to accent it with. Your name will be engraved right on the instrument panel.
